DIY Leaf clay dish

Nature has inspired me to make this DIY leaf clay dish project. So this is a project to be creative as you may use different kind or/and size of leaves, forms and colors, anything you like or that suits your home decor.
Materials:
- a clay
- leaves from the garden or a pattern of leaf (click to print)
- acrylic paint
- cling film
- baking paper
Tools:
- a Hobby knife
- a rolling pin (or anything you have – I have used a hair spray bottle)
- scissors
- a bowl
- a brush
- a file (400) – optional
Directions:
Step 1. Roll out a clay.
Take a chunk of your clay and roll it out on a baking paper until it is flat.
Step 2. Place your leaf on a clay.
Place a pattern of leaf and/or a real leaf from the garden on a flat clay and push it into a clay.
Step 3. Cut your leaf off.
Take a knife and gently cut your leaf off.
Step 4. Remove a leaf/pattern.
Take your pattern or leaf off the clay.
Step 5. Make a script on a leaf.
If you are using a pattern of leaf instead of a real leaf than take a knife and make a script so that leaf looks like a real one. However, if you are using a real leaf, than you can skip this step as you it leave a stamp by itself by pushing it to a clay on the 2nd step.
Step 6. Place your leaf into a bowl.
Take a small bowl, wrap it with a cling film and place your lead in it. A bowl will give a nice shape to your leaf.
Step 7. Dry.
Follow the instruction on your clay package and leave it to dry.
Step 8. Optional. File your leaf.
Step 9. Paint.
Take your chosen acrylic paint and a brush and paint a dried leaf.
